Our story
It started with a really bad period.
Our founder, Dr. Sarah Chen, spent years watching patients โ and friends โ struggle with period pain that disrupted work, relationships, and life. The solutions available felt like they were designed decades ago.
She'd seen TENS therapy work wonders in physiotherapy. The technology was there. What was missing was a product built specifically around the female body and the menstrual cycle โ something warm, intuitive, and honest.
In 2021, with a team of four in a South London kitchen, Periodt was born.
2021
Periodt founded in London. First prototype built in a kitchen.
2022
First 1,000 devices sold. Community launches on Instagram.
2023
Clinical study published. Periodt Ease v2 released with app integration.
2024
48,000 community members. Expansion into EU and Australia.
